I am elated that I have four artworks in this exciting exhibit which features the iconic symbol of the West-- the American bison. The buffalo embodies the tenacious and enduring spirit of the Great Plains. These noble beasts have adapted perfectly to survive their harsh prairie environment. Even more impressive is their comeback from near extinction through the indiscriminate slaughter of the late 18th Century. Their multifaceted history is bittersweet but one we need to embrace and share with future generations. My artwork in this exhibition is inspired by their story.

Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art
David City, Nebraska
Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art in David City, NE is the nation’s only exclusively agrarian art museum presenting art that connects people to the land. Its purpose is to celebrate the heritage and current themes of rural and farm life. David City is the hometown of nationally recognized Regionalist artist Dale Nichols whose work is the heart of the permanent collection.
I am honored to be exhibited at this notable museum. My Homestead Series will be on loan from the Homestead National Monument of Beatrice, Nebraska for this exciting exhibit. I will also be exhibiting my watercolors from the Pioneer Girl Series, which was inspired by one of the most famous homesteaders of all, Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Hope you can make it!
