43rd Artists of the Plains Show and Sale

Please join me the last week of October for the 43rd Annual Artist of the Plains Show and Sale. Each year the Center for Western Studies at Augustana University puts on this exciting event which highlights the cultural significance of art in the western plains. It is also a wonderful celebration of the art and artists of the region. This year, the show will move from Sioux Falls to Rapid City and will be held at the Dahl Arts Center. Twenty three regional artists were selected for the premier fine art event which will feature a variety of mediums. This event is free and open to the public.

This exciting group exhibition is all about America's Heartland--its landscapes, its people, its history and its future. Regional artist (including me!) share their unique perspectives on the values, traditions and stories that shape the very soul of the region.
Three pieces of my artworks will be in this show including Color Fields pictured below.

Please come paint with me during this open studio time at the Orange City Library. These fun, informal sessions begin with a short review of key painting concepts and/or techniques which we can explore and practice. The majority of time will be spent working on the projects you bring to class. I will be available to help you by offering critiques, answer your questions and to give individual instruction as requested.
Each studio session is independent from the others and participants can register for as many or as few dates as they wish. Fee is $10.00 per class. Intermediate/advance level. Students must bring all their own materials.
